We are looking for a Challenge Events Fundraiser to join our ambitious and growing type 1 diabetes charity JDRF.
Based in London, you will work closely with the Challenge & Sports Events Manager as well as the Head of Challenge & Sports Events to maximise fundraising income from Challenge Events in order to ensure targets are achieved and sufficient income is received to support the activities of JDRF.
You will take responsibility for the success of our Open Challenges portfolio, the London Landmarks half, The Big Half Marathon, Ride London and other key mass participation events.
As an events professional, you may have worked for charities before in similar roles or perhaps as a coordinator and are ready to make that step into the role of a fundraiser. You will be driven by reaching and surpassing fundraising targets and have a passion for delivering supporter stewardship of the highest level.
You should be hardworking and passionate about event fundraising, and enjoy working in a team environment. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and have the creative freedom to manage your supporter communications and event marketing.
You’ll have previous experience of:
- Working in either an event fundraising or events-based role
- Experience of working to event budgets and plans
- Experience speaking with and stewarding supporters
- Creating event plans and post-event evaluations
- Working with a database and managing event registrations and communications
- Working as part of a team with a varied workload
