Do you want a job where you're making a difference to people every day? Our multi award-winning organisation is looking for part-time Home Care Assistants to join our friendly team at Selig Court in Golders Green to support our clients. Applicants must live within a 20-mile radius of Barnet at the time of applying .

This role will be worked over 25 hours per week on an hourly rate of £9.50-£9.99.

What we need:

We are looking for individuals who are responsible and who are interested in getting to know the people they work with. It is important that the successful candidates have a strong sense of initiative, as you will need to report any concerns or changes on your service user's health and wellbeing, to your manager. You are supported by team leaders who provide you with on the spot local support when providing care and support to people. There are good career prospects within the team with opportunities to progress to manager level.

We are opening several new independent living schemes over the next few years, and will be looking to identify individuals with talent to manage the new schemes. You will be provided with a smartphone as part of your job, to enable you to communicate as a wider team during your working hours.

The independent living scheme is situated in a wider campus which has its own security, and there are never less than two people working on site at any given time. It is essential that you have previous care experience (this can be through employment or life experience, that you are practical are able to record notes about a client and able to use phone. You will be working in a great team of like-minded colleagues. There are plenty of opportunities for you to develop in terms of training and development and experience of working in an interesting and exciting environment. Your development will also include regular supervision and team meetings where you can contribute by providing ideas to improve the service and get the benefit of seeing how your involvement has improved lives.

About you

While we need someone experienced, you don't need to be a care professional to apply -- you may have cared for an elderly relative before. What matters most is a willingness to help others; patience for those with different ability levels; and a positive, caring attitude. You will need to be reliable. a good time keeper and able to deal with emergencies should they occur
