About Jimmy’s Cambridge
Jimmy’s is one of Cambridge’s leading providers of support and accommodation to people experiencing homelessness. We help people get off the streets and into their own home, backed up with all the support we can offer from our talented and committed team of staff, volunteers and partners.
We aim to use as much of our funding and resources to support people who are experiencing homelessness. To enable us to do this, we need efficiently run finances and resources to support the team and general running of the organisation.
This new role brings together key functions of finance, human resources, facilities, IT, and other related resources, to ensure they are run as efficiently and effectively as possible. Many of our resources are delivered through contracts, which need constant review to ensure we are getting the best service and best value for money.
The person will come with experience and a working knowledge of charity finance and accounting. We need someone who understands some of the legal and governance requirements relevant to a charitable organisation. We need great communication skills, someone who can build relationships with people. Being well organised will be central to how this person works, and the person will have the right people and project management experience and skills. We are a small charity, and a willingness to be ‘hands on’ as required is needed.
Overarching this, the person will want to work with an organisation that is making a real difference to people's lives.
