Workforce Officer
Helping our most inactive communities become and remain physically active is challenging. As our Workforce Officer you’ll play a pivotal part in building the support systems and opportunities that communities need to move more.
This new role is ready to be shaped by someone with the skills and passion for developing people and the role physical activity can play in supporting physical and mental wellbeing across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
Pay and Benefits
- Full time role (35 hours per week)
- Salary range £25,700- £32,500
- 25 Days holiday (plus bank + public holidays)

Role Highlights
You’ll be operationally supporting the workforce to develop their skills and mindsets, so they are better able to support communities to move more. This will include
- Organising and hosting learning opportunities
- Developing and coordinating networks of professionals
- Recording evidence of what’s working and what’s not and developing it into insight for the sector to learn from
- Supporting the workforce to find and apply for funding opportunities
Not every day is the same when you’re working at Energise Me. How could it be – there are so many people involved in supporting communities to be more active. As well as the Energise Me team, you could be working with volunteers, coaches, clubs, local authorities, charities and health professionals, across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
Other Things to Know
We offer great flexibility as an organisation. We’re in the office two days a week, and make sure we’re all in on a Tuesday so we can meet as a team. The rest of the week you can work from the office or home – it’s up to you.
We work in communities across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, travel across the county will be expected as part of the role.
The role is part of our Workforce team. You’ll be supported by the Workforce Manager and the rest of the Energise Me team to grow and develop your own skills and knowledge.
We’re part of a network of 42 Active Partnerships across England, supported by Sport England and connected to their system partners. These also provide opportunities for networking, learning and development.
