Role and Responsibilities:
As a trustee, you will:
- Provide strategic direction and oversight.
- Ensure the organisation is financially stable and compliant with legal requirements.
- Support and challenge the executive team to achieve our mission.
- Act as an ambassador for the organisation, promoting our work and values.
What We’re Looking For:
We are seeking individuals who have:
- A strong commitment to our mission and values.
- An understanding of governance, excellent financial acumen and experience of strong leadership.
- Vision and be able to inspire others to work towards it.
- A strategic focus and able to guide the board and management team to set and achieve long-term goals.
- Integrity and accountability to stakeholders.
- Experience and knowledge of the health and/or social care sector.
About Us:
We are a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving the lives of people with disabilities or long-term health conditions to live independently. We work across England, primarily under contract to local authority and NHS partners. We were established in 1988 and have a staff team of over 200 people, based across England. We are currently working on two exciting digital projects which will have a significant impact both on how we work and how we support the people we work with.
