Job description

We need a Volunteer Coordinator to help design and implement a new volunteering strategy across the charity.

After 40+ years of supporting children and adults with Learning Disabilities we need to increase our profile across the community so we can increase volunteer involvement. Our target is to have one volunteer per member of staff.

You will be responsible for defining and agreeing the Volunteering Strategy with the Board of Trustees and wider Senior Management team. This includes communicating the strategy across the charity and keep the wider team informed of progress and collecting ideas. You will be recruiting, monitoring and supporting suitable volunteers, with the support of HR, to fill the roles identified in the strategy.

Successfully engaging with external organisations to improve awareness of Jubilee House will assist with our fund raising target. You will also work directly with our service users and current team to develop the volunteering programme.

About you

Experienced in developing and managing a Volunteer Strategy and delivering associated programmes.

You will have an outgoing, confident and enthusiastic personality and will be able to encourage and motivate both potential and existing volunteers, as well as community organisations, to get involved.
