Job description

We are looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking new Trustee to join our Board of Trustees.  You will ideally have a background in Fundraising and Donations and an understanding of the Not-for-Profit Charity sector.

We are growing fast and are looking for a Fundraising and Donations Trustee to help us develop our fundraising initiatives, and to provide strategic support for our fundraising volunteers and senior team.

You will be supporting the Chairperson of the Charity and CEO in steering the direction of the organisation through the generation of fundraising and donations, helping us diversify our income streams and ensuring compliance with Governance and organisational objectives. You will be making a real difference to your local community, also acting as an ambassador for the Charity and representing us as required.

As a Non-Executive Director at Jubilee House, your contribution will help build on the performance of our services for children and adults with learning disabilities and their families in Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas.

To contribute effectively, you will need a passion for providing opportunities to continually improve the quality of life for local people with learning disabilities. You will need to have experience or knowledge in one or more of the following areas:

Fundraising, donations, grant and bid applications, Individual Giving, Legacy Giving and developing impactful fundraising programmes.

You will need to be available 2 evenings every month to attend Trustee meetings.  Above all, to succeed in this role you will have demonstrable commercial awareness tempered with a social conscience and an interest in supporting learning disabilities.
