Our Youth Advocates, working closely with our legal team, provide holistic support for a range of needs, and ensure that the young person’s voice is heard by the professionals supporting them. The Advocacy Manager leads the Youth Advocacy team to deliver outstanding advocacy for children and young people. The manager supervises the Youth Advocates and oversees their casework, enabling them to understand their role, maintain appropriate boundaries and feel supported in their work. The manager also acts as the Designated Safeguarding Lead and leads on advocacy practice development and relevant external-facing activities, alongside other managers in the team, and with support from SMT.

Location: Central London (currently Islington)
Hours: Full time (35 hours per week)
Salary: £38,000 per annum
Pension: 5% per matching following probation. 4% matching during probation
Leave: A full time member of staff has 30 days annual leave which includes three days to be taken at Christmas in addition to bank holidays (usually 8)
Probation period: 6 months
Payment method: Payment is made by electronic transfer on or shortly before the 28th of each calendar month covering payment for that same calendar month.
