Job description

Just Treatment is a young and growing organisation dedicated to organising individuals who have been directly impacted by the negative effects of corporate profiteering on their health and the NHS. Investing intensively in a small cohort of leaders, we have supported patients and their families to lead effective campaigns that challenged the damaging impact of pharmaceutical companies on fair access to affordable medicines and won support for pro-health reforms of the industry.

We are now expanding our team so we can work with patients and their families to fight back against the damaging consequences that privatisation and government underfunding are having on access to quality care in the NHS. The person taking on this role will be working closely with the Just Treatment staff team (including another Organiser focused on offline engagement) and our patient leaders to develop and agree an organising strategy that integrates Big Organising approaches into our work.

They will spend most of their time engaging people directly affected or personally motivated by this issue - developing online tools that engage, support and activate a broad new base of leaders keen to take meaningful action in defence of the NHS, helping to amplify and multiply powerful campaigns that force the media, public and decision makers to respond to our demands. Ultimately they will support our patient leaders to win changes that help to reverse the destruction of our publicly funded and delivered health service.
