Following a restructure, JUSTICE is looking to appoint a Membership and Communications Coordinator to join our development team. This role will focus on developing and supporting JUSTICE’s membership and coordinating JUSTICE’s communication and marketing campaigns.
JUSTICE has a diverse membership of just under 2000 individuals and corporates, spanning senior lawyers and retired judges – some of whom have been members since 1957! – to students aspiring to a legal career. The successful candidate will work closely with our members to ensure that our membership offer is attractive, that members are informed about our work and that we are responsive to their needs.
Integral to our membership and Friends programmes is the way we communicate and our events programme. This position will also coordinate JUSTICE’s communications and marketing campaigns. The postholder’s responsibilities will include running JUSTICE’s website, social media presence, leading relationships with press, our newsletters, our Annual Review and other printed material.
We are looking for a bright, motivated person who is passionate about justice and can deliver compelling pitches and create engaging content to attract new members and donors. The successful candidate should be creative, have a solution orientated approach to work and an excellent eye for detail. You will need to be able to work independently and as part of a team. With excellent interpersonal skills, you will be able to work collaboratively with JUSTICE members from students to senior and retired judicial figures, as well as other stakeholders. Previous experience in marketing campaigns or of using social media to advance a social issue or other campaign, is desirable. We encourage candidates with transferrable skills from various fundraising or marketing roles to apply.
The successful candidate will be appointed to a full-time post on a fixed term six-month contract, with the potential for this role to become permanent depending on funding, organizational need and individual performance. Based at our London office, although working remotely from home until at least 4th January 2021. Our staff enjoy flexible working conditions, 27 days annual leave pro rata (plus the week between Christmas and the New Year), 8% employer pension contribution (rising to 10.5% after two years) and access to an Employee Assistance Programme.
The deadline for applications is Midday on Wednesday 12th August. Interviews will be held the week of 24th August. Candidates will be required to make a presentation as part of the interview process.
JUSTICE is an equal opportunities employer. We encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, but particularly welcome applications from disabled candidates, and Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic candidates.
