Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for someone interested in developing their career as an Advocacy and Support Team Manager. You will join our established Advocacy and Support Service as the new Senior Management Team Leader. Your role will be a permanent term position working full time, 37.5 hours per week work based at our Canterbury Hub and delivering services across Kent. You will hold a case load as well as managing a team delivery complex case work, mentoring partnerships, activities and youth engagement and support activities including a Youth Ambassador programme and Youth Forum. Full induction for the role will be provided. Our advocacy and support services are empowering and holistic in nature and work alongside our Learning for Life Team.

You will be strategic in your thinking and a proactive and resourceful individual on the practical and operational level. You will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the UK advocacy environment for refugees and asylum seekers; experience in report writing and monitoring, together with the ability to multi-task and work with a number of conflicting demands and multiple deadlines; an excellent communicator, relationship builder, team player, leader and manager.
