Programme Lead: UK Organ Donation & Transplantation
Research Network

Salary £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience

Fixed Term Contract – 2 years
Full Time 37.5 hours per week

We are seeking a dynamic and charismatic leader with proven expertise in
leading complex programmes to develop, manage and deliver a key strategic
programme focused on developing the UK Organ Donation & Transplantation
Research Network.

As a Programme Lead, you will be responsible for leading the strategic
development and delivery of the programme. This includes working with a
wide range of stakeholders including the scientific and clinical communities,
funding bodies including industry, other charities, international partners and
patients to develop, shape and implement the long-term plan, research
activity, funding and policy as required.

Currently 60% of your time will be spent working on the UK Organ Donation
and Transplantation Research Network to develop and implement strategy to
ensure the successful achievement of agreed milestones to benefit all
transplant recipients. The remaining time will be spent working on Kidney
Research UK’s Transforming Treatments programme which aims to improve
the care of patients with kidney disease.

You will need to deliver in line with the charity’s values and drive and
maintain enthusiasm and momentum through to delivery and realisation of
programme benefits.

You will have effective interpersonal skills, a creative approach to problem
solving and a passion for delivering tangible benefits to patients.

This role will work closely with co-directors and workstream leads of the
network, various patients, researchers and senior managers from a variety of
organisations across the research and healthcare community. This is a role
that will have a real impact on the successful delivery of the charity’s strategy
and most importantly for people living with end stage kidney disease.

This role is jointly funded by NHS Blood & Transplant
