We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and personable fundraiser to join the Kit Tarka Foundation family and help save babies’ lives by raising vital funds for the charity.
We are a small yet ambitious charity with a mission to prevent newborn baby deaths through research and education. Our initial focus is on neonatal herpes (the cold sore virus in babies) but we expect to expand our activity to other causes of newborn mortality in future years. We are led by a passionate, skilled and hands on Board of trustees.
We work to achieve our mission through funding relevant research and developing training and education programmes for medical professionals and the general public.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Fundraising Manager will work across all fundraising activities to increase income generation. The remit is broad and provides the opportunity to really shape the future of the charity and the role itself. Many of the existing revenue streams are in their infancy so there is huge potential for the Fundraising Manager to make a real difference through their creativity and innovation.
As a small charity we have limited time and resources so the Fundraising Manager will work closely with the CEO and trustees to agree a realistic and achievable plan for their first year and beyond. Expected areas of focus will be grants, corporate partnerships and individual giving. They will secure and develop strong relationships with our supporters within the local and wider communities.
The Fundraising Manager will report directly to the CEO and provide quarterly progress updates to the Board of Trustees. A trustee with fundraising expertise will give additional support and guidance. The post is new and is expected to develop with the individual appointed.
The role is home-based but there will be regular meetings and events in Brighton. Due to funding restrictions, the role is initially part-time and fixed term but with genuine potential to extend.
The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
