Do you have a passion for ensuring people with learning disabilities live fulfilled lives? Do you want to help lead a community that values people for who they are and what they can do?
L’Arche London is a community of more than 100 people with and without learning disabilities. We live, work and celebrate together.
We’re looking for someone to be a registered manager for our supported housing scheme and registered care home. You will be responsible for the delivery of high quality person-centred support, leading and inspiring your team to ensure we support the practical, social and spiritual needs of everyone in our community.
We provide a place of belonging to help people with learning disabilities live independent, yet connected lives. We provide registered care, supported housing and specialist day services – supporting around 35 people with sometimes complex learning disabilities. We’ve been based in West Norwood, South London for 40 years and we’re part of an international federation of over 150 L’Arche Communities in 35 countries worldwide. Founded in the Christian tradition, L'Arche Communities welcome people of all faiths and none: our vision is a world where all belong.
You will be joining us at an exciting time as we’re entering into the next phase of planning for our current business strategy. You will be a key part of the way we develop and shape this future. We're looking at the ways we can provide greater choice for our members with a learning disabilities. We are looking to build on our existing quality and on the unique values of L’Arche, and to explore opening new schemes and growing the numbers of people we support.
We are looking for a person with knowledge and experience of management in care or supported housing but far more essential is an enthusiasm for our values and the ability to inspire others.
Applicants are asked to send a CV and a letter of around two sides of A4, outlining how your experience, knowledge, skills and values meet the person specification. The extended closing date is now 9am on Monday 10 February 2020 and interviews will be held on Tuesday 18 and Wednesday 19 February 2020.
