Are you experienced in advice or legal services casework and interested in helping vulnerable EEA citizens living in Britain to access and exercise their rights?
Lambeth Law Centre is recruiting a Caseworker to assist its Public Interest Law Centre’s work on EEA homeless rights in the context of Brexit.
The Public Interest Law Centre (PILC) was established in 2016 with a special mission to work on public interest strategic litigation that has an impact for the most vulnerable and disadvantaged in our society. Growing out of its project defending the rights of EEA homeless nationals, PILC will now support people to apply for settled status through Lambeth Law Centre and a number of satellite frontline partners.
You will need excellent communication skills and to be well-organised in order to maximise the number of people being supported under the scheme. You will work under the technical supervision of Lambeth Law Centre’s Immigration Team and alongside colleagues from PILC already working with EEA homeless people and on other public interest law issues.
This twelve-month role provides a rewarding opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about working to assist some of London’s most marginalised homeless people.
