A world-class drama school and educational charity, LAMDA – the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art – delivers exceptional vocational training in the performing arts. The Academy’s alumni include world-class actors such as Benedict Cumberbatch, David Oyelowo, Ruth Wilson, John Lithgow, David Suchet CBE, Maureen Lipman, Jim Broadbent, Rory Kinnear and many more.
LAMDA’s core aim is to train the best artists, regardless of social or financial background. In order to ensure that its work is accessible to all, LAMDA operates a robust scholarship scheme, awarding significant support to one in five full-time students each year.
An interesting opportunity has become available for a high-calibre individual who has substantial experience in finance to join the Academy on a permanent basis. You will have overall responsibility for the financial control and operation of the Academy. As part of the Senior Management Team, you will support the Principal to develop and deliver the vision and strategies of the Academy.
You will be fully qualified, possess proven experience in managing a finance team within a public sector or not for profit organisation and will have reported at board level. Furthermore, you will have experience of managing and resolving compliance issues and have a willingness to build positive relationships with budget holders, trustees and other partner organisations. In addition, you will possess an understanding of SORP and other voluntary sector legal requirements.
We especially welcome applications from black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds, and those with disabilities, as these groups are under-represented at all levels in the LAMDA staff.
