An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the new leadership team of the Work Foundation, as Head of Engagement. We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and self-motivated professional to join our team and help deliver our exciting new strategy focussed on changing policy and practice to ensure everyone has access to well paid, secure and rewarding employment.
The Work Foundation is part of Lancaster University and undertakes high-quality analysis of the UK labour market in order to understand what’s needed to advance employment opportunities for people, delivering benefits not only for individuals, but businesses, communities and the wider economy. The Work Foundation has championed good practice at work for almost 100 years. Building on a strong heritage and deep expertise, we develop actionable solutions and practical tools to change policy and business practices for the better. We use our extensive networks, to share ideas and learning with leading experts, thinkers and practitioners who have first-hand experience of what works.
The Head of Engagement will take responsibility for the planning and delivery of a significant engagement programme up to a year ahead capable of strategically influencing policymakers and practitioners through the media, events, digital platforms and stakeholder outreach. Ideally they will also have experience of bidding for and securing funding. Working with the Director and Head of Research on ongoing project development, they will maintain a strong pipeline of engagement opportunities. In addition, together with the Head of Research this role will support the Director in helping to set the strategy for the team and in shaping the annual business plan.
