The Landscape Institute (LI) is an educational charity and the chartered body for the landscape profession. It provides a professional home for all landscape practitioners including landscape architects, landscape scientists, landscape planners, landscape managers and urban designers. The LI’s aim, through the work of its members, is to protect, conserve and enhance the natural and built environment for the public benefit.
The Head of Membership Services is responsible for core aspects of the Landscape Institute’s work as a professional body and regulator. The post-holder directs all aspects of the membership and education systems, including process and policy that govern the standards of entry to, and progression through, membership of the profession and Institute. As a key member of the Leadership team the jobholder will role model exemplary team ethos and will work collaboratively across all areas of LI. The membership is the life blood of the Landscape Institute and a strong customer service culture needs to be embedded within the organisation. For ensuring the smooth running of this team and function, the overall direction needs to be set and, with a compact team, sleeves need rolling up to pitch-in at peak times plus everything in between.
