The Society of Homeopaths, the largest organisation of registered homeopaths in the UK is seeking a new Chief Executive due to the impending retirement of our incumbent later in 2019. A not for profit organisation, we are based in Northampton and are the only UK homeopathy register accredited by the Professional Standards Authority. Established in 1978, our principal aims and activities are the promotion and maintenance of high standards for the practise of homeopathy as well as support of our membership.
The last 5 years have seen major change in the Society with a comprehensive professionalisation of our wide range of services from our customer care to our new journal, our completely re-built website to our support for practicing homeopaths. Through advocacy and lobbying we also work hard to raise public awareness and appreciation of homeopathy as a complementary or alternative medicine.
Our membership is increasing and our recently published Strategic Plan outlines how we intend to build on recent success and we are looking for a Chief Executive who will lead this process.
An advocate for promoting the “right to practise”, you will be an excellent communicator able to engage with multiple stakeholders in order to raise our profile even further, alongside the ability to influence and lobby on behalf of our members.
You will also require sound financial knowledge, be an accomplished manager of people and have a proven track record of delivering service improvements promoting the highest standards of corporate governance and ethical behaviour.
For further information on the work of the Society and to find out more about what we are seeking in our next Chief Executive, please contact our retained consultants via Rebecca du Plessis, Director of Langton Not 4 Profit
Closing date for initial enquiries is Friday 28th June.
This is a 30 hour a week role that can be worked over 4 or 5 days.
