LAWA provides support to women survivors of gender violence and their children through advice and advocacy, a refuge for those escaping situations of abuse and counselling support for women.
The purpose of this position is to provide psychological support to children survivors of traumatic experiences. Many of them living at the moment in temporary accommodation in a refuge with their mothers.
In light of the nature of work and focus of LAWA, the organisation considers the candidate’s race and gender, to be an occupational requirement in accordance with Parag 1, Schedule 9, of the Equality Act 2010.
