Based in central Reading, Launchpad provides vital information and support for vulnerable individuals, couples and families in Reading who do not have a stable place to live or are at risk of losing their homes. We have been in Reading for over 40 years and have just opened a new Work and Life Skills Centre to enhance life opportunities for clients. It is an exciting time for us!
Our services work in three ways:
Launchpad works to prevent homelessness with a drop-in centre for anyone who needs crucial housing or homelessness-related information and guidance, and our floating support team helps people in the community address more serious housing-related challenges before they get worse.
We aim to break the cycle of homelessness by providing temporary homes with bespoke support for up to 100 people in Reading for periods of six to twelve months.
Launchpad rebuilds lives to give clients the very best chance of success with a range of therapeutic activities, and support with education, training and employment.
The Fundraising Manager is responsible for the operational planning and implementation of all fundraising in line with strategic goals for the year, and delivering a range of fundraising events and projects within the charity’s developing fundraising programme – including supporter acquisition, supported stewardship communications, financial appeals and regular giving.
Our ideal candidate is an experienced Fundraising Manager with a passion for helping the vulnerable, looking to work with a small team where you can make a real difference.
With excellent relationship building skills and significant experience of leading events and activities which drive individual donations, and corporate and community fundraising, you are looking for a new challenge and the chance to build a portfolio of innovative fundraising events and projects.
Professional, approachable, confident and empathetic, you love people and are great at motivating, developing, and managing effective performance to achieve successful outcomes - and meet ambitious fundraising targets
An adept project manager, you put the supporter at the heart of everything you do with experience of cultivating, developing and stewarding supporters to deliver a first-class experience.
You are ambitious in your approach, proactively managing stakeholders through excellent communication and planning skills. You know your way around a fundraising CRM system, are competent with Microsoft packages and have experience of working with volunteers and managing a small team.
This is a superb opportunity for someone with drive, focus and a desire to work with our fantastic charity to help us to prevent homelessness in Reading. You’ll discover a passionate, supportive environment where the entire team are working toward the same goals and are dedicated to making positive change, and a lasting impact on people’s lives.
Please note the role is primarily office based at our premises in Reading. There is flexibility for some working at home. As a key service for vulnerable people in Reading, our service has been open throughout the pandemic.
