Life Skills Centre Administrator
Circa £20,500 per annum depending on skills and experience
7% employer pension contribution, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
We are a registered charity for people experiencing homelessness that helps some of Reading’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged people to turn their lives around and achieve their potential.
Launchpad are currently in the process of acquiring a purpose designed Centre to deliver practical Life Skills and Employability Support. Located within a short walk from the town centre the new site will enable clients to learn practical skills including Cooking on a budget and basic DIY. Workshops and short courses will be delivered in partnership with New Directions and other local community providers. Support with resettlement, tenancy sustainment, advice and advocacy, life skills, budgeting and other housing related queries will also be available from the new Centre.
This is an exciting opportunity to provide a proactive, effective and efficient administration service for the new Life Skills, Work and Well Being Centre. As well as being a team player, we are looking for someone with a ‘can-do’ attitude who can provide excellent customer service to our sometimes challenging, clients. The ideal candidate will be very well organised with the ability to be flexible and adaptable. Competence with IT, strong office-based experience and a willingness to learn are key requirements. Previous experience of working within a community learning environment would also be an advantage but is not essential.
