About Learning with Parents

Learning with Parents is a charity with a vision for every child to be supported at home to fulfil their potential. We are narrowing the attainment gap by supporting all parents and carers to engage in their children’s learning.

We do this by leading the Parental Engagement Forum – a group of organisations and researchers connecting to improve home learning across the sector. We also provide a ground-breaking parental engagement programme to primary schools, which aims to motivate and empower all families to have enjoyable learning experiences together.

In the last year, our charity has become a leading player in parental engagement, working with over 10,000 families and large organisations such as the BBC, the Department for Education and Oak National Academy.

About the Role

We are looking to recruit a Sales and Marketing Manager to join our team and play a critical role in facilitating the growth of Learning with Parents. Over the last year, we have developed and transformed our online platform, so we are now able to extend our reach. The Sales and Marketing Manager will develop and deliver a strategy to scale our impact by bringing on more school partners across the country. 

This is an exciting opportunity to lead on strategy and implementation across marketing and sales at a fast paced and evolving charity.

Areas of Responsibility

Marketing strategy

  • Develop and implement a marketing strategy for prospective schools that generates new leads.
  • Work with our wider team to refine our value proposition and conduct market research.

Marketing to schools

Work with the Programme Director and external organisations on a range of campaigns including social media, email marketing and online events.

Sales strategy

Develop the programme’s sales strategy and new school targeting criteria to meet sales targets and focus our work where it is needed most.

School sales

  • Respond to enquiries from prospective schools.
  • Build relationships with prospective schools in-person, virtually, on the phone and via email.
  • Work with schools throughout the sales process, from lead generation to closing the sale and handover to the programmes team.
  • Arrange and present at online and in-person information sessions for prospective schools.
  • Track school sales progress using our CRM software.

About You

  • Essential:
    • Experience in sales or partnership management with schools
    • Excellent presentation and communication skills
    • Confident managing a large quantity of contacts and leads
  • Desirable:
    • Experience of designing and implementing a marketing strategy
    • Experience in the primary school sector
    • An understanding of education inequality in the UK
    • Experience working in the charity sector
