Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to provide high quality governance support at a senior level to Leeds Cares. The role will bring additional resources, leadership and expertise to the delivery of a best in class governance function for the charity, which in turn will help deliver excellent quality services.


The post of Company Secretary plays a key role in enabling the charity to discharge its constitutional and legal duties. You will work closely with the Chief Executive and senior leadership team as well as the Board of Trustees to provide effective management, probity and transparency of the charity’s governance arrangements.


You will be a governance professional with demonstrable senior experience of servicing Boards and committees and have excellent communication and leadership skills. You will be forward-thinking, proactive and enthusiastic, able to bring excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills to the role and quickly establish your credibility with both internal and external stakeholders through your effective management of relationships and high standards of work.


You will have excellent organisational abilities and a proven track record of delivering in a similar role with a demonstrable understanding of governance and risk management processes in either a health or charity related setting.
