Job DescriptionDo you have a background in Legacy and In Memoriam fundraising. We are working with this charity to recruit this key post, you will develop a range of promotional materials, products and campaigns.
You will be joining a busy, welcoming and successful fundraising team for this much loved health charity.
Set, monitor and manage income and expenditure budgets in conjunction with the Head of Individual Giving
Deliver or exceed agreed income targets across all In Memory fundraising activities
Be the first port of call for all enquiries about IMO and Gifts in Wills (excluding technical estate queries) for all supporters, patients and families, either over the telephone, email or face to face.
Deliver excellent supporter care and relationship management for In Memory and legacy supporters.
Develop a detailed annual communications programme for IMO and legacy supporters.
Communicate with sensitivity and empathy via letter, email or telephone to build relationships with patients, families and supporters.
To develop and build on the IMO and legacy promotion programmes in conjunction with the Head of Individual Giving which includes developing a range of giving products, awareness/fundraising events and campaigns.
To launch new In Memory products where appropriate.
Experience of developing and implementing legacy marketing materials for a charity.
Experience of organising events, or similar.
Experience of managing expenditure budgets.
Experience of liaising and building relationships with external agencies (such as solicitors and funeral directors)
Ideally proven experience of meeting or beating income targets of more than 100k pa in IMO and/or experience of legacy income of 1m+ pa.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to be able to communicate with a high degree of empathy and sensitivity with patients, families and supporters on issues to do with bereavement and gifts in wills.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
