About the role
We are now looking for a Policy Advisor – Data and Inclusion to join our Influencing Team. Reporting to the Policy Manager and working alongside colleagues in the policy, public affairs and campaigns teams, this role will be responsible for the development of policy work on disability data, economic inclusion and inclusive education. The post holder will represent Leonard Cheshire externally in relevant networks and international fora, helping to influence changes we are striving for to ensure the design and implementation of inclusive policies and systems for all.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is committed to advancing the rights of persons with disabilities and is able to engage with global stakeholders and national partners in low- and middle-income countries to achieve this. You will have a very good understanding of international policies, guidelines and commitments that can be leveraged to strengthen disability inclusive sustainable development and you will have a proven track record of using evidence to deliver change. The ideal candidate for this post will be able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a wider influencing team and is able to exercise sound judgment on complex issues/queries.
