About the Role
In this key senior role in our international team you will be the global lead providing strategic support and growing Leonard Cheshire’s economic inclusion programmes across Asia and Africa. You will expand our organisational reach and steer innovation to promote the employability of people with disabilities. You will lead a team of staff working on programme quality and will work in close collaboration and be supported by international teams to develop innovative approaches.
This role offers you the exciting opportunity to be at the cutting edge of development, introducing and embedding innovations while keeping abreast of the latest innovations in the employment / livelihoods sector and exploring new opportunities to enable Leonard Cheshire to position itself as the partner of choice at a global and regional level.
Ideally educated to degree level in a relevant field you will have expertise in the employment / economic development / livelihoods sector ideally with experience of managing international programmes. You will bring extensive experience of working for and/or in partnership with the private sector to create and deliver projects, and ideally also bring knowledge and experience of including both technology and digital solutions to increase reach.
You will be a strong and excellent communicator. Lived experience of disability would be a great advantage.
