About the Role
We are looking for a proactive new member of our Youth Employment team to manage our Change Now work experience programme across the Greater Manchester Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) region.
Change Now provides comprehensive employability and careers support for young disabled people aged 11-25, enabling them to transition from education and into employment.
The Youth Employment Officer will manage the work experience element of the Change Now programme and will be responsible for the effective local delivery of the programme. You will be working with schools and teachers to identify students who would benefit from an inclusive work experience opportunity and lead on delivering pre-placement and post-placement support plan for the young people on the programme.
You will develop a strong network of employers across the Manchester region who understand the value in recruiting disabled staff and work with them to host work placements for Change Now. You will support them to create appropriate opportunities and design and deliver pre-placement disability awareness training.
The successful post-holder will be encouraged to think of creative and innovative ways to ensure the programme has the greatest impact.

You will have demonstrable experience of programme delivery (preferably in either in the youth, disability or education sector).
You will have the skills required to manage multiple priorities and programme activities, and be comfortable working with various stakeholders at multiple levels.
You will enjoy networking to promote the programme to potential partners, and building links with local employers and schools.
