Purpose of role

To lead on the research of Digital Inclusion provision for disabled people across the UK

Key activities

  • Lead on the research of existing digital inclusion support across the UK, as it relates to disabled people
  • Develop detailed picture of gaps in provision across the UK and support the research into the Community locations
  • Collect information from a variety of internal and external sources, analysing data to come to robust conclusions and support evidenced based decision making.


Time commitment required

  • 6-12 weeks 21 hours per week
  • Monday-Friday, flexible days


Requirements of role (checks and training)

  • 2 references
  • Completion of volunteer induction training

Key skills/qualities a volunteer needs for this role


  • A genuine commitment to the values and ethos of Leonard Cheshire
  • Experience of working with disabled people is desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good research skills and high level of attention to detail, able to produce research and project documents which are accurate and thorough
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to develop strong and effective working relationships across a number of teams and locations
  • An engaging manner with ability to build rapport;
  • Microsoft Office skills in standard packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
