About the Role

You will provide full administrative support to our Advisors, assisting with the day to day operation of the Direct Payment Support Scheme (DPSS) in Hertfordshire that provides practical assistance to adults, children and young people, with a range of disabilities, who are considering this scheme to meet their social care needs.  

You will be the first contact for enquiries - both post and telephone.  With strong word processing skills you will process and produce confidential and sensitive data including reports and contracts. You will handle all our office filing systems – both manual and electronic - and maintain accurate records.

You will be the go-to person, supporting the DPSS team and providing our current and potential service users with a wide range of information on all aspects of the Scheme.

About You

You will have previous admin/secretarial experience including managing office systems and procedures and have good oral and written communication skills.

Your IT skills will be at intermediate level for MS Outlook, Word and Excel.  You will be experienced in file management, word processing, spreadsheets, databases and computerised accounting systems as well as with electronic mail.

Mon-Fri 9am-5pm, one hour lunch

This role is scheduled to be transferred to another employer under TUPE regs at the end of year (falling under TUPE protections), candidates should be willing to accept and be flexible in this regard.
