Location: Hertfordshire Direct Payments Support Scheme - Hitchin
About the Role
This role assists in the day to day operation of a Direct Payment Support Scheme (DPSS) in Hertfordshire. The service provides practical assistance to adults, children and young people with a wide range of disabilities and who may be considering using the Direct Payment option to meet social care needs.
To ensure the support to individuals who have access to such funding by providing advice, information and guidance on all aspects of the scheme, either by visiting Direct Payment users in the community, by phone or by e-mail.
This role is scheduled to be transferred to another employer under TUPE regs at the end of year (falling under TUPE protections), candidates should be willing to accept and be flexible in this regard.
This position will predominantly support Direct Payment users in East Herts, Welwyn and Hatfield, Stevenage and St Albans. However there is an expectation that the applicant is flexible and willing to travel to any part of Hertfordshire if required to do so.
You will have knowledge and experience of supporting disabled people who use a Direct Payment to meet their social, leisure and care support needs.
