Job description

This role is currently home-based due to Covid-19 restrictions and we are open to applicants across the UK. We are also open to flexible working arrangements.

About the Role

You will provide policy advice and support for Leonard Cheshire in order to increase our influence and drive positive change with disabled people. You will support policy analysis and engagement on social and public policy as it relates to disabled people in the UK, working collaboratively with colleagues in the devolved nations.

At Leonard Cheshire we’re proud to be pioneers for change in the UK and across the globe. We’re currently campaigning for change on social care, employment and transport in the UK and for better education for girls with disabilities internationally.

About You

  • You will bring demonstrable experience of working in a policy team and have knowledge and experience of methods used in policy development and influencing, including engaging with government consultations.
  • You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical skills, both in terms of analysing qualitative and quantitative research.
  • You will have experience of involving people with lived experience in policy work.
  • You will have an understanding of current policy issues relevant to disabled people and a passion for delivering positive outcomes with disabled people.
