Leprosy is a treatable disease that still exists today. Due to fear and lack of knowledge, 3 million people in the world are living with undiagnosed leprosy and many more are suffering from prejudice and disability. Lepra is a global leader in the fight against leprosy and runs extensive programmes in India and Bangladesh. As we approach our 100th anniversary, we are seeking a Communications Manager who will be responsible for telling Lepra’s story to the world.
You will report to the Director of Fundraising and Communications, manage a small but talented team, and will significantly increase our national and international profile, elevating our media impact across a range of channels including digital, radio, video, and written publications. This will in turn support our donor acquisition strategy.
In delivering this, you will also work with colleagues in the UK, India, and Bangladesh. When the global health situation permits, you will have the opportunity to travel to some of our overseas programmes and engage with international stakeholders.
You will have demonstrable experience in an externally facing communications role, with impeccable writing skills and a solid knowledge of website analytics tools.
More details, including a full job description, person specification, and how to apply are available on our website.
The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
