Lewis-Manning Hospice is already well known locally as a centre offering excellent palliative care to local people living with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses and their carers, and we have recently opened our brand-new state of the art in-patient unit for end of life care, for patients in the East of Dorset. We passionately believe in treating every person and every day as special, ensuring that each individual person knows they matter.
The Hospice is embarking on an exciting new fundraising strategy, with the local community being a key audience and we are seeking an accomplished, inspiring dynamic fundraiser and event organiser to join our team.
Playing a key role in the development of the new fundraising strategy, this role will be responsible for planning and organising successful events within the community and building and developing relationships with event goers, supporter groups and volunteer ambassadors. You’ll need to produce annual plans and carry out thorough research into the community, as well as deliver regular communications and updates to our community supporters.
You’ll need to have a proven track record in growing income from Community Supporters and be an expert in delivering successful events. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and a supportive team that is committed to the highest levels of personal and team performance.
If this sounds like your next challenge, then please submit your covering letter and CV by Thursday 9th March 2017. If you would like more information on the role or about Lewis-Manning Hospice, please feel free to give the hospice a call and ask for Andy or William to have an informal chat.
Interviews for the role are due to be held between 13th-17th March 2017, please indicate in your covering letter whether you would be able to attend on these dates should you be successful in being shortlisted for interview.
We look forward to hearing from you!
