Integration & Support Workers (2x Volunteers)

In partnership with the Refugee Council, the Lewisham Refugee and Migrant Network (LRMN) is delivering Refugee Resettlement Scheme in Lewisham and supporting refugees and their families who have arrived in the borough to help them establish their lives in the UK. We work closely with local stakeholders from the public, private, faith, school, voluntary and community sector in addressing the basic housing, welfare, health and school needs of the families and their children and promoting their integration into the community.

To help us achieve the aims of the programme, we are looking for two committed and enthusiastic Volunteers who will be working primarily but not exclusively with the refugee families  supporting them with practical issues such as integration, housing, welfare, health access and more.

You will be working closely with the current Support & Integration.

You should have experience in working with multicultural communities, able to work with local stakeholders, prioritise, understand and address the needs of the refugee families. Fluency in  Syrian Arabic is strongly desirable.

Part time 2-3 days a week

3 Months minimum
