We are looking for a full time (35 hours/week) Legal Advice and Information Caseworker to join our dynamic and committed Housing and Welfare team to help refugees, asylum seekers and migrants address their housing issues, debts, rent arrears, access welfare, secure accommodation and more.
You should have at least 2 years’ experience of providing 1:1 legal advice and information. You should be comfortable in multi-tasking, flexible and pro-active. We would like you to participate in policy work, campaign and develop partnerships and networks that will help improve the situation of refugees, asylum seekers and migrants. You will be based in Lewisham but will do weekly outreach at the Migrant Hub in Woolwich where you will see clients. You will be expected to help in the operation of the Hub as and when needed. To be successful you need to be organised, with great attention to details, computer literate and ideally with experience of Advicepro; our casework management system. Furthermore, we are looking for someone with great commitment and passion for the refugee and migrant sector. You should be able to work on your own as well as in a team.

Ideally you should have experience of working with the voluntary sector.
Speaker of a refugee/migrant language is desirable.
