Salary:    £22,000 per annum Pro Rata

Benefit:    3% Employer’s Pension Contribution 

Tenure:     One year contract

Hours:    Part time: half days 5 days per week

Location: Home working with occasional office attendance from mid 2021 and event attendance around London.

Data and Administration Assistant to the Fundraising Team

Working within the Fundraising Team at HQ to make sure our confidential and highly valuable data is kept up to date this person will also provide administrative support to the five members of the team. This is a vital role which will enable the team to be significantly more effective in their fundraising activities. 

Management cleaning of data on our Raiser's Edge database which contains details of our major donors and prospect lists

  • Becoming the team expert on the use of our Raiser’s Edge database

  • Updating donor information in the database with

    • accurate meeting notes,

    • event attendance,

    • relationship details,

    • fundraiser assignations,

    • solicit and constituent codes

  • Cleaning and coordinating prospect lists held outside our database and aligning data with the database

Administrative support to the team

  • Production of agendas and papers for team meetings, Fundraising Board Meetings, LDBEN Board meetings and Liberty Board meetings.

  • Prospect research for major donors, LDBEN & Liberty Network & Legacy prospects and production of donor briefs for the leader’s office.

  • Managing the diary of the Party Treasurer and team members to coordinate donor meetings and calls.

  • Management of our communications software lists to make sure our comms lists are up to date and match the data on Raiser's Edge

  • Support the organisation of events by booking venues and speakers

  • Support communications by coordinating content and proof reading

Person Specification

This is a fast-paced role suited to someone with excellent organisational and computer skills, effective time management and good interpersonal skills.

The role would suit someone looking to gain professional experience in their first role.

Essential Skills and Experience

  1. Assertive self-starter with strong administrative skills and excellent attention to detail

  2. Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, GSuite, ideally also Raiser’s Edge or a similar fundraising database and Iterable (or Mailchimp)

  3. Good communication skills, both orally and in writing
