Job description

Lichfield Cathedral is looking to appoint a dynamic individual who is proactive and passionate about the opportunities that volunteering can provide. In 2019 Lichfield Cathedral Volunteers were awarded the prestigious Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service. The Volunteer Coordinator will work with the existing 400 volunteers and seek new ways of safely recruiting volunteers from a broad demographic in order to enhance the experience of all who worship, visit and work at the Cathedral.

Lichfield Cathedral is entering an exciting stage of its 1300 year history. It has embarked on a major period of fundraising with the aim to raise £10 million for the regeneration of the Cathedral and the Close from 2014 to 2023. Alongside this, the Cathedral has an ambition to increase visitor numbers and engagement and to deliver high standards of visitor and supporter customer care.

Hours:  28 hours per week over 4 days (job share considered)

Annual Leave: 26 days including Bank Holidays
