Are you an outgoing young person interested in supporting disabled young people to get more involved in their local community?
Perhaps you are looking for rewarding work which gives you variety, flexibility and opportunities to share your hobbies and interests with a young person with special educational needs and disabilities?
Maybe you have a sibling with a disability and would like to use your knowledge and skills to help others with additional needs?
Or you could be a student wanting to find paid work experience around your studies whilst having fun at the same time?
If so... Becoming a Buddy could be perfect for you!
We are looking for fun, friendly and reliable young people to join our Buddies Scheme. The purpose of the scheme is for children and young people living in the Royal Borough of Greenwich with special educational needs and disabilities, to be matched with Buddies. Buddies will be employed by the family to support the young person to meet their aspirations, have fun and develop new interests, skills, friendships and connections in the community.
For more information and to register as a Buddy, please see details in the additional document 'Becoming a Buddy'.
