Job description

LionHeart is in the second year of an ambitious 5 year strategy to deliver more services to even more members of the RICS community. As part of this strategy we are stepping up our volunteering programme and we are now seeking a Volunteering Manager to kick start this work.

 

We are initially seeking an experienced volunteering manager for a six month contract which will focus on getting the right framework in place for our volunteering programme. At that point the role may become permanent and would move on to lead all aspects of our work with volunteers. Currently this comprises mental health and APC (the assessment for chartered status) ambassadors but we hope to extend this to cover fundraising and awareness raising ambassador opportunities.

 

What we’re looking for:

We are looking for a minimum of two years’ experience of managing volunteers and experience of developing and delivering project plans. In addition, we need excellent engagement, networking and public speaking skills coupled with the ability to own your own project whilst functioning well as part of our amazing team.

 

You’ll need to be confident using Excel, Powerpoint and Word and it would be an advantage to have experience with Microsoft dynamics and PowerBi, but training can be provided if necessary. Other desirable skills include experience of developing training events and materials for volunteers, managing senior level partnerships with external stakeholders, the ability to demonstrate project impact and an understanding of mental health issues.

 

This role may include some travel and occasional overnight stays but these are booked well in advance to enable you to plan your life in line with our commitment to good work / life balance.

 

In return we offer:
