Job description

Little Green Pig is a ground-breaking young people’s writing charity working in and out of schools across Brighton & Hove, East and West Sussex, delivering high-quality creative experiences to over 850 young people each year. After ten years being led by founder director Ella Burns, we are looking to recruit a new Director to help write the next chapter in our story. This is a fantastic opportunity for an exceptional leader with a passion for young people’s creativity and a commitment to their voices being heard.

Principle objectives

  • Strategic management: You will drive and deliver the long-term strategy and business plan.

  • Finance and operations: You will hold organisational budgets and oversee all daily operations.

  • Creative programme: You will be responsible for the artistic direction of the organisation. 

  • Staff management: You will manage, lead and inspire our staff team.

  • Communications: You will oversee our communications and build links across the region.

You will have a minimum of 3 years senior management experience in a charitable, youth, arts, education, or creative organisation. You will be a motivated leader with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and proven experience of growing a project and leading and managing a team.
