Job description
About The Role

Are you prepared to go the extra mile to ensure a positive outcome for your clients? Are you motivated to make a positive contribution to the lives of the people we support? If so, we really want to hear from you.

We are recruiting a part time Support Worker, that will deliver Tenancy Sustainment and housing management at our adult temporary accommodation schemes in Exeter as part of a job share.

We are committed to offering short term housing and tenancy related support to people aged 18+, who are homeless or at risk of being homeless. Our role is to help people settle from often chaotic lifestyles, to live independently and help them resolve some of the issues that brought them into temporary housing in the first place. You will be part of a well established team working with residents across three projects. You would be expected to deal with any accommodation issues the residents may have and signpost them to the appropriate course of action or link them with external organisations.

You will work closely with the Team Manager to ensure that building safety is maintained, organising remedial works and repairs with contractors. We are looking for someone who is resilient and able to work with this client group to help them address the issues in their lives and move forward onto independence.

Intensive housing management tasks may vary from ensuring that LiveWest customers have access to appropriate services, support and accommodation of a good standard to explaining the licence agreement and project rules or working closely with partners to resolve anti social behaviour.
This role is being offered on a part time basis, working 20 hours per week.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable groups, and expect all colleagues to share this commitment. Appointment to the post will be subject to a satisfactory enhanced check via the Disclosure and Barring Service.
