The Lloyds Bank Foundation is looking to appoint a full time, permanent Regional Grant Manager based in South Central England, managing a geographic patch that covers the historic Counties of: Gloucs, Wilts, Oxon, Hants, Berks and Bucks. The post is home-based with frequent travel in the region and to the Foundation’s London Office. The role requires an individual with at least 3 years’ experience providing support for charities through business development as well as previous experience in undertaking grant assessment and grant management work, with established networks across the voluntary sector and with a good understanding of the environment that small and medium charities are operating in.
The role also includes responsibility for contributing to wider Foundation activity including working with colleagues within Lloyds Banking Group, other funders and infrastructure organisations to develop the Foundation’s ‘Grant Plus’ activity, working with colleagues on project activities and undertaking ambassadorial work as one of the Foundation’s representatives within the wider SW/SE region. The Foundation places an emphasis on engaging directly with the charities it supports and those seeking funding so a key aspect of the role involves meeting with charity staff, trustees and beneficiaries.
The post holder will demonstrate sound judgement and will have the ability to initiate and deliver innovative strands of work within the Enhance programme, they will have experience of supplier management and demonstrate strong communications, influencing and negotiating skills.
The role is full time and permanent and it is a requirement of the appointment for the postholder to reside within the patch the post covers, in a location that makes it practical to travel to charities within the territory. Given the nature of the work and the locality it is also a requirement that candidates are able to travel frequently. The post is offered at a salary level that reflects the range of duties and responsibilities as well as the level of experience required. The post also attracts an essential car user allowance.
