London Black Women’s Project (LBWP) is a leading women’s organisation in East London providing specialist VAWG services to BMER* women, girls and children for over 30 years.
Over the past few months, LBWP has faced funding challenges for its refuge provision and undertaken a strategic review of its delivery with women who use the services, with staff, volunteers, partners and funders. As a result, the organisation is now focussed on delivering essential support to BMER women and children escaping domestic violence, specifically, emergency refuge accommodation and resettlement support, specialist legal advice including immigration and family law support and counselling, including language specific services. In its 31st year, the organisation continues to deliver high quality ‘by and for’ support for minoritised women.
