LBWP is advertising this role in line with the new domestic abuse bill and duties that came into force in 2021. The Mayor of London has created a draft strategy for safe refuge accommodation and move on and completed a needs assessment of domestic abuse survivors (adults, young people and children) who require support. This role will have a strong strategic emphasis, representing the needs of black minoritised communities, of women, girls and children accessing our service. The role will also have a strong emphasis for the inclusion of expert (survivor) involvement and participation, in local and national political and policy decision making platforms.
LBWP is keen to recruit a diverse staffing pool that reflects the service users we support, under the equality duty 2010 and subsequent protected characteristics.
The role is ideal for anyone interested joining a dynamic team and who is committed to LBWP values.
