London, Greater London (On-site)
£75,000 per year
Permanent, Full-time
Job description

The London Irish Centre is a unique organisation. It was established in 1954 to provide support for young Irish emigrants in London. Its role has developed significantly over the decades with it offering a whole range of services as well as cultural and social events which keep the traditions of Ireland alive for this ex pat community.

The Board of Trustees has approved an ambitious multi-million-pound capital build project to create a new Centre on the existing site. This is to ensure it is a fit-for-purpose building which is easily accessible and environmentally sound, providing a fantastic venue for Community Service, Arts and Cultural activities.

A new strategy is also under development to ensure that services reflect modern day needs. This includes a focus on education to promote Ireland & Irish culture to London audiences as well as keep Irish heritage alive for future generations.

The London Irish Centre is looking for an exceptional leader to become its next CEO and deliver on its ambitious goals. We’re looking for someone who has a deep knowledge and passion for Ireland, its Culture and heritage.

You will have strong business acumen and deep senior leadership and management experience. You will need to evidence superb strategy development, income generation and relationship management skills. You will be interacting with a variety of stakeholders, supported by an eminent Board of Trustees and engage with service users themselves so should have excellent communication skills and be comfortable at engaging at all levels. Added to that, you will need to be tenacious, agile, and resilient.

You need not necessarily come from the third sector, provided you have the empathy and understanding of how a charitable organisation works and how to ensure regulatory compliance.

If you would like more information about this incredible opportunity or know anyone who might be interested, then please contact us today for the full candidate pack.
