We are delighted to be leading a new London-wide network to grow and strengthen social prescribing in the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector to help deliver the Mayor’s Health Inequalities Strategy. The VCSE sector plays a crucial role in improving health and wellbeing and has a unique reach into the most disadvantaged communities in London. 

We’re looking for a part-time Social Prescribing Network Co-ordinator to help us build this network and grow the understanding and practice of social prescribing. This is a 12 month contract that has the potential to extend.

The Role

As a Social Prescribing Network Co-ordinator, you will lead on promoting, supporting and developing social prescribing in the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector across London.

In this exciting role, you will develop the social prescribing network to offer support, identify needs and share and develop good practice for, and between, London’s VCSE sector. You’ll recruit and engage with members and build relationships with key stakeholders in the social prescribing field. 

Some of your duties will include: 

- Organising quarterly network meetings to share knowledge and ideas 
- Building and supporting partnership working between the VCSE sector and other sectors with a role in social prescribing 
- Developing a framework to evaluate the impact of the network 
- Providing updates, information and resources to create a social prescribing hub on our website

About You

To join us as a Social Prescribing Network Co-ordinator, you’ll need: 

- Previous experience of working in the VCSE sector
- Experience of identifying and developing relationships with key stakeholders 
- Project co-ordination experience, including monitoring and reporting on impact 
- Experience of facilitating support networks to enable peer support and the exchange of experience 
- Previous experience of producing written information, such as ebulletins, blogs and publicity
- Experience of using social media 
- The ability to influence strategic outcomes within multi-agency partnership working groups 
- An understanding of the work of voluntary, community and social enterprise sector (VCSE) organisations and their contribution to improving outcomes for communities
- A basic understanding of social prescribing and the health sector 
- A degree (or equivalent) 

Experience of enabling service user involvement would be beneficial, as would an understanding of voluntary and community infrastructure support organisations. 

Other organisations may call this role Network Co-ordinator, VCSE Network Co-ordinator, Social Prescribing Project Co-ordinator, Social Prescribing Project Officer, Wellbeing Project Officer, Partnerships Executive, or Partnerships Officer. 

This is a part-time role (days are negotiable).
