London Youth is looking for a dynamic individual, experienced in building relationships with organisations and young people, who is excited by the opportunity to support our members to run our new employability and social action programme, HeadStart Action.
HeadStart Action is a personal and social development programme targeted at young people who are at risk of becoming NEET. The programme uses social action and employer encounters to engage and inspire young people, giving them the skills, experience and networks, they need to get ahead in work. The programme will increase delivery and build capacity with 10 of our grassroots member organisations, whilst working with some of the most marginalised and vulnerable young people who may not otherwise engage with mainstream services.
We are looking for somebody who enjoys supporting organisations in collaborating to achieve shared goals and is skilled in facilitation. You will have experience creating relationships with corporates to create bespoke experiences for young people, including employability workshops and activities as well as work experience opportunities.
Salary: £30,108 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hrs per week
Leave: 26 days pa plus 8 bank holidays and 5 ‘closure’ days (to be taken on dates specified by London Youth). All leave entitlement is accrued pro rata through the year and will be calculated on a pro-rata basis for part-time employees
Contract term: November 2020 until September 2021
