About the role
We’re looking for a Sports Development officer to join our Sports team to deliver our sports development programme, supporting 40+ youth and community organisations and leading our calendar of events.

We are looking for a creative and dynamic individual to join our award-winning team, someone who is excited by the opportunity to work across a variety of Sport for Participation and Sport for Development programmes.
The role involves:
- Supporting young people to build positive long-term relationships with sport and physical activity. Ensuring the experience is right for them and their peers.
- Developing a more confident and capable youth and community sport workforce
- Capacity building youth and community organisations. Maintaining and developing relationships with key external partners to achieve this.
- Delivering a range of sport and physical activity events, festivals and residential opportunities.
Salary: £30,108 per annum
Hours: Full-time - 37.5 hours per week
Annual leave: 26 days per annum plus 8 bank holidays and 5 ‘closure’ days (to be taken on dates specified by London Youth). All leave entitlement is accrued pro rata through the year and will be calculated on a pro-rata basis for part-time employees
Contract term: 1st September 2020 until 30th September 2021 fixed term contract with potential to extend, dependent upon funding
