About Us

LOROS are incredibly proud of what our Charity achieves and we are excited about our plans for continued progression, as one of the UK’s largest hospices. To continue to achieve our ambitions, we’re seeking a skilled leader to realise development plans and to ensure that the hospice is run to the very highest standards whether it be in our clinical delivery, our income generation, our research or the long term relationships with the wider communities we serve.

About the Role

Following six highly progressive and successful years, our current Chief Executive is now furthering his career in a new role. Therefore we seek a dynamic, motivated and outward facing individual who can lead our strong senior team, think and act strategically, develop and manage key relations both internally and externally and give us the reassurance that LOROS is continuing to thrive.

We seek a leader with a strong, strategic mind who is a clear thinker. Someone who understands and has an organisational grip of the competing demands of service delivery, organisational performance, systems thinking and partnership working.

Our Chief Executive needs to provide effective, motivational and empowering leadership throughout the organisation and take accountability for the leadership, management and administration of the organisation in the execution of the decisions, policies and plans of the Board of Trustees.

About You

It’s rewarding that our current Chief Executive is continuing his career progression onwards, and this speaks to the person we seek; ambitious, progressive, continuously striving to develop them self. Alive to the needs of others but with strong internal drivers to continually push for higher levels of excellence. Forward thinking and inclusive, proactive and engaging will all be words that describe our next Chief Executive. For a deeper insight into LOROS, the challenge and whom we are seeking, please see our Chief Executive Applicant Prospectus.
